The True Map of North America

We we're stopped at a gas station between Birmingham, AL and Huntsville, AL when I spotted what has to be the best postcard ever. Ever. We had just gotten back from working in Alaska, and we're pretty much used to missing our home state. I bought it with the intensions of send it to our friend in Seattle, but never actually got around to buying stamps. I know, I'm quite lazy at times.

I love how Alaska is only labeled as "eskimoes, woods, snow, and ice." You can't miss "DAM YANKEE TERRITORY". And California is simply "smog, desert, and foot waters". Oh, and of course the north is just "no cotton". Ha. I thought it was cute. Boy, do I love my gas station purchases. I hope you enjoy.

Just tap it to see closer details, you know you wana...

If I had endless streams of money...

This is where I'd stay in Thailand, but alas...at $3,000 a week its a bit out of my budget. By a bit I mean, theres no way I'd get to step foot there. But its nice to dream, right?

Click here for the details. And then drool.

Soup won't be digital, it's a liquid.

I love traveling, but one thing I couldn't possibly do without is travel photos. Since I've given in to the age of almost everything digital, without broadcasting my photos to the internet universe, it almost feels as if the event never even happened. That's sad. On the plus side though you have a continuous timeline of your life. Events I would have soon forgotten, I remember with ease. Forgotten dates? Just check when you posted the picture on Facebook. I guess that rules out the downsides.

My parents, before children of course, did a bit of traveling. I stumbled across some of their photos, and thought they we're adorable. This is probably what it would look like if my parents had a Facebook.

Roll Tide Roll!

I was wearing crimson at a young age:

Let it Snow, Let it Snow...

It's snowing here in north Alabama, this is the first time we've seen this much snow since the early 90s. Everything closes when we have even the slightest mention of a snowflake. Roads close, grocery stores are emptied, automobile wrecks left and right, and everyone panics. It's a perfect day to cook! I've been a cooking manic since 9 this morning. No kidding, a manic. Started with blueberry muffins, and an omelet (ham, cheese, tomatoes, onions, and crystal hot sauce). Next I made a blueberry tart, and finished with brisket and black bean nachos. It's almost time for the BCS National Championship game. Tell me this: Why do boyfriends believe a football game is the most important moment of their lives? Roll Tide Roll though. Hey, I'm an alumni!

Needam + Dami

I've recently re-discovered the wonder of scanning. I spent some time with Bucks cousins son, Needam. We transformed plastic parts of a nasal spray bottle into a neck brace for playmobil soccer player. Good way to cure that plastic injury. I attempted to turn a round shipping box into a tunnel, but it was soon made into a gun. Everything with boys somehow turns into a weapon. I love how this is a picture of Needam and DAMI. Cute, huh?

Get Ready

I leave for Thailand on Jan. 13th. Oh, holy cow.

In the mean time though, January is Get Organized Month according to the National Association of Professional Organizers. hmm? Should I?
